The Dalai Lama dramaThe Dalai Lama drama

I don't think there should be any fuss regarding Tibetan spiritual leader the Dalai Lama because it's not the first time he was denied a visa into SA.
And besides, he only came to attend a birthday party, after all.

Despite all the above, the Dalai Lama is a highly respected spiritual leader including birthday-boy Desmond Tutu.
But the Dalai Lama is an enemy to China just like when Nelson Mandela was(and still is) a terrorist to some countries.

China colonized Tibet and the Dalai Lama fought this. Now, China is a big trade partner of SA and our govt can't bite the hand that feed them by hosting China's enemies.

Tutu spit fire today and criticised the ANC and wished the ruling party bad-luck.

I wonder if Tutu would have criticised the ANC the same way if the Dalai Lama controversy never took place?
